On August 3rd 2025, Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organized a traditional festival, Aatid Onji Dina, at YuvajanaSevaSangha, Shalepadav, Moodushedde.The guests of the event included Mrs. Renita Lewis, a social worker from Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Mr. Ramesh, the current president of Yuvajana Seva Sangha, and Mr. Janardhan, the former president. They inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp. Mrs. Renita Lewis delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the event and its cultural significance. All members had prepared a variety of traditional dishes at home, which were served during the programme. Following the formal programme, various competitions were held for the members. Around 150 people were present at the event.
On August 8th 2025, Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organized a Shramadaan at Gramaabhivriddhi Sangha, Yedurupadav. Ten MSW students and seven local residents participated in the programme and rendered commendable service.
On August 10, 2025, the Gramaabhivriddhi Sangha of Yedurupadav, in collaboration with the Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, organized a Vanamahotsava programme to promote environmental awareness. The Director of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Sr. Veera Monis, spoke about the significance of the event. Social worker Mrs. Renita Lewis addressed the gathering on the importance of protecting the environment. Fruit-bearing plants were distributed and planted as part of the programme. B.S.W. students from the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya — Mr. Joel and Sr. Sabina — were also present and actively participated. A total of 58 Self-Help Group (SHG) members attended the event, making it a meaningful and community-driven initiative.
On 15th August 2025, Dharma Jyothi Social Centre celebrated Independence Day at Gramaabhivriddhi Sangha, Edurupadav. Mr. Pathunji hoisted the National Flag, and the President of Gramaabhivriddhi Sanga, Mr. Suresh, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of Independence Day. Mrs. Renita Lewis, social worker from Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, along with 68 Self-Help Group (SHG) members, was present at the event, making it a memorable and patriotic occasion.
