Sr. Maria Goretti SRA is the Director of the St. Ignatius Institutions since 2012 todate. She also held the position of Province Animator of Mangalore Province from 2002-2006 and Superior General of the Congregation from 2006-2012.

It is Sr. Maria Goretti’s love and concern for poor which led to the establishment of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre in the year 1981.

Sr. Maria Gorretti was the recipient of All India Konkani Mahila Adhiveshan Award at Sirsi in 1998, Sandesha Award in 2000, the Gratias Agit Award from the Czech Republic in 2004 and in 2011 she received Rachna award for Outstanding Woman of the year from the Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mangalore.

Dharma Jyothi Social Centre is the branch of Dharma Jyothi Charitable Society ®. At present Sr. Juliet Lobo SRA is the President of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre. Sr. Juliet Lobo SRA hails from the Coastal land of Gangolli, Udupi. Responding to God’s call, she has been rendering her service as a religious since 31 Years in the Congregation of the Missionary Sister s of the Queen of Apostles. She holds the responsibility as a Provincial Superior of the SRA Sisters of Mangalore Province. She graduated from Milagres College Kallianpur holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and further accomplished her masters in Commerce from (KSOU) Mysore University. Sr Juliet has been instrumental in raising Dharma Jyothi Social Centre to great heights for the cause of the poor.

Sr. Juliet Lobo SRA

Sr. Joel Lasrado SRA is the Co-ordinator of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre since 2016. She is a religious sister in the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of Queen of Apostles. She has done her Bachelor’s degree in School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya at Mangalore. And secured 1st Rank in Bachelor of Social Work at Mangalore University in 2002 . She has completed her Masters in Sociology in KSOU Mysore University. She has also completed her Diploma in Development Leadership (D.DL) at St. Francis Xavier University (Coady) at Canada. She has the experience of effective in the social field since 20 years in Bidar, of Gulbarga Diocese. Through the discernment, guidance and dynamic leadership of Sr. Joel the activities of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre will still continue and achieve good and positive results.
