Awareness workshop on the formation and functioning of Self-Help Groups

On 27.01.2026, a one-day workshop on the formation and functioning of Self-Help Groups was organized at the Dharma Jyothi Social Centre. The resource person, Mr. Stanley Fernandes, explained in detail how Self-Help Groups can be further strengthened, how members can share experiences among themselves, and learn new ideas. He emphasized that Self-Help Groups play an important role in the economic, social, and personal development of women. A total of 98 members from various Self-Help Groups actively participated and benefited from the programme.

Personal Safety and Boundaries

On 23 January 2026, an Awareness Session was held on the topic of Personal Safety and Boundaries at Our Lady of Pompei English Medium School, Kaikamba. The resource person, Ms. Bapitha, explained the importance of personal safety, self-protection, and maintaining healthy boundaries in daily life. The session was informative and interactive, helping students understand how to protect themselves and respect personal boundaries. A total of 62 students were present for the session.

Children’s Rights Awareness Programme

On 03.01.2026, a Children’s Rights Awareness Programme was organized at Government Higher Primary School, Tiruvail. The resource person, Mrs. Renita Lewis, explained in detail the various rights of children, their importance, and how these rights can be implemented in practice at the appropriate time. A total of 74 school children actively participated.
