On 12.5.2026, a summer camp was organized at BelthangadyJnanaNilaya by Dharma Jyothi Social Centre. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp in the presence of several dignitaries, including the Director of DharmaJyothi Social Centre, Rev. Sister VeeraMonis, Rev. Fr. Binoy A.J, Director of Dakshina Kannada Rural Development Society, Belthangady, Dr. T. Krishnamurthy, retired Principal of S.D.M. College, Ujire, and Mrs. Hemavathi K. (Zonal Trainer, JCI India).Fr. BinoyA.J. highlighted the importance of the program and conveyed his best wishes. Dr. T. Krishnamurthy provided information to the children about life skills through activities. Various activities and action songs were conducted for the young children, helping them understand enthusiasm, joy, and values in life.A total of 135 children benefited from this program.
On 12.5.2026, an awareness program on the role of parents in the upbringing of children was conducted at BelthangadyJnanaNilaya by DharmaJyothi Social Centre.Dr. T. Krishnamurthy, retired Principal of S.D.M. College, Ujire, participated as the resource person. Through various activities, he explained how parents should take responsibility while raising children and guide them in the right way. He also explained that when children are born, their future behavior and character are not known, but they grow and develop according to the way they are nurtured and brought up by their parents.A total of 65 parents benefited from this program.
On 12.5.2026, DharmaJyothiSocial Centre organized an awareness program on personal hygiene at BelthangadyJnanaNilaya with the objective of educating children about the importance of cleanliness and healthy habits in their daily lives. Mrs. Renita Lewis, a staff member of DharmaJyothi Social Centre. Through interactive activities and simple demonstrations, she explained the significance of personal hygiene, including keeping the body clean, washing hands regularly, maintaining clean surroundings, and following healthy habits., A total of 45 lower primary and higher primary school children took part in the program and benefited from the informative session.
On 19.05.2026, a women’s mental health awareness program was conducted at the AshrayanagaraAnganwadi Center by DharmaJyothiSocial Centre. Resource person Mrs. Renita Lewis explained how women can take care of their mental health. She spoke about the early signs of mental stress such as getting angry over small matters, scolding children, and losing interest in doing household work.A total of 16 mothers of small children benefited from this program.
